We don’t have medical staff – just caregivers
They all mean the same thing – care home. Doctors prefer the “Board and Care” term. RCFE (Residential Care For the Elderly) is the preferred term by Government entities.
During the day we have two or three caregivers working. At night, when most medications and meals are done, there is at least one staff member on duty.
We never admit residents unless we know our caregivers can provide proper care to your loved one.
We prefer visits between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. This is because at those times, we serve breakfast/dinner respectively, along with medications. COVID-19 has made visitation quite restricted and the rules change from time to time.
We do not allow pets to live in our facility. However, visitors may bring their pets for short durations and must be responsible for watching over them and cleaning up after them.
No. We are strictly a non-smoking facility. This includes vaping and chewing.
The agreement can be terminated with a 30-day notice from either side. Our agreement has been approved by State Licensing.
No we do not. At this time, we only take private pay where families will pay us one check for the rent. The only exceptions are residents associated with the ALW (Assisted Living Waiver) program where the state will pay a portion of the rent.
Yes. They are posted in our hallways and available to anyone. They are reviewed and approved by the State Licensing. In general, the rules try to keep everyone safe, respectful, and promote the spirit of community living.
All residents will have a call button. A caregiver will attend to them once they call for help.
